Goal:
To encourage new memberships by welcoming new businesses,
participating
in membership retention drives and hosting information
sessions like "Know Your
Chamber" breakfasts.
Membership: This committee assesses themselves
annual dues of $24
and members share the cost of blazers
and/or polo shirts.
Beautification
& Enhancement
Goal: To maintain and enhance the aesthetic
qualities, cleanliness and
character of our community that make
Spearfish unique.
Membership: Open to any Chamber member.
Activities: Plan greenways, pocket parks,
landscaping and entrance
signage.
Diplomats
Goal: To perform public relations activities
on behalf of the Chamber.
Membership: Members are past Chamber or CVB
Board Directors with
at least 3 years of service.
Fundraising
Goal: Plan
and execute annual fundraiser. Identify new methods of
fundraising for the organization.
Membership: Open to any Chamber member.
Activities: Select and execute
projects.
Governmental
Affairs
Goal: To represent and educate the membership on
issues and
challenges presented by local, state and
federal entities.
Membership: Open to any Chamber member.
Activities: Candidate forums, Cracker Barrel
sessions, and issue
research and presentation.

Goal:
Plan and execute annual CVB fundraiser.
Membership: Open to any Chamber

Activities: Plan and execute event.

Trails & Recreation (S.T.A.R.)
Goal & Activities:
To document, expand, improve, and market hiking and
biking trails in and around Spearfish to
better serve residents, and to
attract visitors and future residents,
making the area a premier outdoor
recreational attraction.
Membership: Open to
any Chamber member.
